COMMISSION ON APPLIED MINERALOGY (CAM)
Sub-commission on Cultural Heritage and Archaeological Materials (CAM-CHAM)

Strategy:

In the framework of the strategy of IMA-CAM commission, the sub-commission CAM-CHAM aims to co-ordinate and organize conferences, seminars, workshops and short-courses devoted to Cultural Heritage and Archaeological Materials, in particular ceramics and ceramic coating, glass, metals, pigments, plasters and other building materials. The scope is to emphasize the role that mineralogy plays and could play in studying these materials and to encourage interaction between mineralogist and other people working in the Cultural Heritage field, archaeologist, physicians, chemists and art historians.
