The Japan Association of Mineralogical Societies replaces the Mineralogical Society of Japan as the adhering society to IMA. The new association was created on the 22th of September, 2007 from the Mineralogical Society of Japan and the Japanese Association of Mineralogists, petrologists and Economic Geologists (see Latest News of October 2007, for further information).
